I've been fortunate to receive some one to one Kung Fu training from Gethin Down. Here he is talking to the DoJoTV team at his own tough Black Belt grading.

My knee is playing up, so need a week or two out. In the meantime - a little reflective video of the last few months of grading and exploring a documentary concept with Soryong MA club in Cardiff.
Must admit, I'm not that big on competing, so the annual trip to the UK Chung Do Kwan event in Bristol is about enough for me right now. I think the sign of a good Martial Arts day out is how many bruises you come home with - as well as any medals!
I fought 17 year old giants, which made my heart jump after watching them fight in previous bouts!
But, I brought home a swolen hand and a silver medal :)
I think I like the term 'blended'. If you live in or near Cardiff, try Soryong - they have an exciting 2017 coming up. Yes, that's the back of my head on the banner!
My initial chat with the DoJoTV crew. There are lots of these mini introductions to Soryong members appearing on the DoJoTV youtube channel :)
Listen to John Davies from Cardiff based Soryong give a taste of what running a martial arts club means to him. This kind of material will appear regularly as the DoJoTV team explore the year long documentary project at my main MA Club.
Looking forward to taking part in a documentary called "Little Dragons" by www.dojotv.co.uk throughout 2017. It's based on the club I gew up in - Soryong Korean Martial Arts, Cardiff. More details can be seen over at http://www.dojotv.co.uk/little-dragons.html
